Make This Valentines Day a Day to Remember

For God so Loved you, me...the world

Valentines day will soon be here.

Happily, none of us face Valentines Day without a valentine.

Our valentine is Jesus.

He is either a secret admirer in our life or an “up front and center” love of our life.

We either know and bask in the knowledge and understanding of His love by faith or

our love hungering heart seeks love in a person… alone.

Truthfully, we have the greatest and most satisfying love we could ever know in Jesus.

His love is limitless. Unconditional. Full of grace and mercy. Everlasting.

What person could give that PERFECT a love?

None.

You see, God loves us with an impossible love…a perfect love.

As a matter of fact I John 4:8 says, GOD is LOVE.

Is God a secret admirer in your life? or are you allowing yourself to know Him.

If you don’t know Him, isn’t it time you give Him front and center in your life?

Do you feel the stirring in your heart? It’s Him. He wants you to know Him. He really loves you.

Don’t cheat yourself out of a love so real, so compassionate…so perfect. Hebrews 13:5 tells us God will never leave us or forsake us.. Never.

Make this valentines day the day you give God your valentine; your heart. Then enjoy valentines day together. Make this Valentines Day a day to remember.

You are loved more than you know.

Blessings always,

Judy

Welcome 2012 – Happy New Year

Wow! Where did 2011 go? Amidst many blessings in 2011, there were many storms too. “The hard times make us strong” maybe you have heard this a lot but it isn’t just a cliche. Hard times force us out of our comfort zone and down on our knees. The difficulties humble us to look at our own weaknesses and see our need for God to show up BIG.

Well, I’m here to tell you – He is SO FAITHFUL. God knows us inside and out. He knows what it is like to face the things we do. He alone can give us what we need to face ANYTHING. I saw Him come through for me in more ways than I can tell you these past 2 years. On the days I was my weakest physically and emotionally, He would endlessly assure me of His love and He would faithfully impart His grace and strength.

Is it over? No. My season of weakness has been long. At times it seems endless. At times I want to give in to discouragement delve into the depths of despair. Then I rediscover a truth God gave me years ago; God’s everlasting arms are underneath. What relief! I don’t have to gear up every last ounce of strength I have to keep going. No! I have to always let go of my concepts and need to understand and just drop. Yes, drop. This was the only way I could fall into the awaiting everlasting arms of Jesus. They were underneath me. They were there to catch me. They were there to carry me when I couldn’t go another s-t-e-p. Thank you Lord!

Knowing people are praying for me, my quiet times with God (Be Still Moments), listening to Selah radio, K-love radio, writing poems, making calls to encourage people, texting, sending cards, making gifts, writing a blog, writing devotionals; these are some of what God has been using to keep me from discouragement. By God’s grace I am finding purpose and joy in all I experience…limitations and all. You will too of you haven’t already. How do I know? Because you are loved by God. Because He is faithful. Because He will never leave you or forsake you. Because even now you are being prayed for.

Blessings always and Happy New Year

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas…almost! (smile)

I don’t just like to make crafts when I can but I like to “sit at the Lord’s feet” if you will to hear His heart for my next idea. Sometimes an idea comes to me immediately – 100% original from the hand of God. Other times I search the internet for craft ideas and add my own twist to them. Below is one such example.

The craft is a Magazine Christmas tree. I first saw it on the Martha Stewart show. Then I found it on youtube. It is an easy to make craft but takes time and patience to get the pages folded just the way you need them; tight and even.

You can find instructions on link below from Marthastewart.com

http://www.marthastewart.com/search/apachesolr_search/magazine%20christmas%20tree

I added an inspirational twist to it. I found images on the internet of the nativity that were bright and pretty. I cut the individual pieces out and made it a pop up nativity scene to insert into the opening of the magazine Christmas tree. On the back of the tree, I glued 2 pages together to form a triangle. I used glue dots to keep it tight. Then, I glued an angel and glitter star tags to the sides.
The more glitter you use to decorate the outside of the magazine tree the better. If you have a magazine with a lot of colorful pictures in it, the tree looks colorful too.

I plan to use this tree as a Christmas centerpiece. It looks just as pretty on my piano.

What a fun way to see the nativity displayed.

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone.
You are loved!

Re-Cap AGM 20th Year in Ministry Celebration

Hi everyone. What a fantastic turn out we had for this event.

As you know, October 22, 2011 we celebrated our 20th year in ministry.

The buffet breakfast was delicious as always. (Thank you Mike and the kitchen staff volunteers of Abundant Life Christian Center) You are the best!

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We hope you will continue to keep in touch with us through the phone, mail, blog, email however it works best for you.

After the breakfast everyone filed upstairs for the 2nd half of the program in the Chapel area. It was so great to have that extra space and be so comfortable.

A video called “Creation” was shown. It was truly magnificent.

See link on this page.

Matt Jones from Haverhill, MA led us in a time of worship. His new CD will be released sometime this spring. You don’t want to miss out. What a gifted singer/song writer he is. He and his wife Erin came to celebrate with us.

Then we saw a video of the story/history of AGM that got us all excited about where God may take AGM next.

Pat Ryan, our friend and the General Manager of the Salem Radio Group was present. It was a beautiful time of reflection. Pat spoke about the station and the beginnings of when she and Pastor Frank met. Sweet time. Pat presented Pastor Frank with an award and a WEZE T-shirt (one for Mom too)

Our friends Ron Malone and his wife Sharon from WSEW and other stations in ME blessed us with their presence also. Ron spoke a few minutes about his beginnings with AGM also.

Ray and Fay Christy followed. Ray Christy shared a fantastic and powerful devotional and his wife Fay led us in a some beautiful songs she had written. This dynamic husband and wife team travel abroad and do mission work. They also minister locally to men and women behind prison bars in a Maine jail. For more information about their work with Through The Fire Ministry see their website.

The AGM celebration event closed with Pastor Frank delivering a powerfully moving and uplifting message that stirred hearts toward a renewed purpose and hope in Jesus Christ.

What an event! I hope if you were unable to attend that you will know you were missed. We so appreciate you our listeners and supporters. I hope you will plan to be in touch and perhaps attend our next event. Register on this blog so you may leave your comments or questions. This blog will also keep you informed of upcoming events.

Blessings always and many thanks to all who attended and made this a most enjoyable and inspiring event.

Take Heart poem

I was just informed the full version of my poem Take Heart will be aired on the October 18, 2011 of the Selah Radio Broadcast!

WEZE 590 AM Boston at 10:00 p.m. October 18, 2011

Let me know if you would like a framed copy of this poem and I will send it to you.

If you plan on attending the October 22, 2011 AGM 20 years in Ministry Celebration in Wilmington, MA, I will have some framed poems there.

I was inspired to write this poem to go with my Morning Star illustration. This design has been produced on T-shirts, pendants, and magnets so far. I’m dreaming big with this one! I really want to see it available all over the world someday. I see it with the potential to become as popular as angel pins. It’s in God’s hands. Who knows what wonders He will perform. It is His gift and I gave it back to Him like the little boys lunch that fed the 5,000.

I pray this illustration and poem will be that extra something tangible to help remind us; we are loved, God is our source of strength and God will always give to us the comfort, courage and hope we need to believe that nothing is impossible to Him.

Dreaming Big

I have big dreams and a big God! He can do anything. What is impossible with me is not impossible for God. He completely squeezes the “im” out of impossible. I drew a picture of that once. I look at it every once in a while and laugh. Sometimes my creativity is a bit much ( ;

Anyway, I have many things (including health) stacked against me. My dream has never looked more impossible. But God, who is rich in mercy keeps giving me ideas. So, I sketch them out. When I am able, I take the sketched idea and put my creativity into motion. Suddenly what was only a sketch is now a reality.

The Morning Star pendant was one such sketch to a craft. It is being used by God to touch many hearts even today. I feel so blessed. Creating and designing all to the glory of God…it’s the motivation and reason I do what I do.

Not long after this design was sketched, I was inspired to write a poem called Take Heart. Below is a section from the poem. I hope you will enjoy. Please comment if you would like more info on how to obtain a pendant or the poem in its entirety.

Take Heart

Copyright J Mabardy, March 22, 2011

I looked to my left

I looked to my right

Trouble was all around me

“Oh God is you’re out there

please come to my aid

This road is a hard one

and I am afraid,”

“Take heart, He said kindly.

I am right here.

The road IS a hard one

but do not fear….”

Comment if you like. Don’t forget, DREAM BIG ( : Nothing is impossible with God.

Blessings always
